Life and relationships can be complicated! Living in relationship with our world and navigating a healthy path can be challenging. Therefore, finding positive connections is important to strengthen your capacity, seek clarity, and develop meaning in your journey during challenging times.
As a psychotherapist, I aim to support clients to find strength and adjust to life challenges in effort to help you figuratively “run your race.” Through evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Interpersonal Therapy, and play therapy, with a specific lens rooted in attachment and relationship, I help you find creative strategies to address maladaptive behaviors and challenging life situations.
My experience as a parent and a foster parent has helped me professionally as a therapist who specializes in helping new parents and parents of young children make sense of their relationships, what has shaped them, and how to establish safety and develop a secure attachment.
I am trained in Circle of Security and am actively pursuing certification in Perinatal Mental Health, as well as Permanency and Adoption.
I am a faculty member and coordinator at the College of St. Scholastica undergraduate Social Work Program. Prior to my current work, I was an early childhood mental health consultant to the Duluth Preschool and a care coordinator for St. Lukes Pediatric Associates.
