Individual Therapy

Working one on one with a therapist at The Center for Family Wellness can help you to reach your goals while receiving support and accountability. Whether you are healing from trauma, experiencing a transition in your life, or looking for help in navigating the day-to-day, we're here to stand by your side and provide an empathic place in which to focus on your wellbeing.

Our therapists are all trained to provide support for those experiencing Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. We also have specialties in fertility issues, chronic illness, transition to adulthood, parenting, mindfulness, and body-based practices. A number of our therapists are trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), as well. Read more about EMDR therapy here.

Couples Therapy

We know that relationships take work. Our couples therapists are here to help guide that work and support you in gaining tools and practices to build and deepen your connection. We practice from an attachment-based and trauma-informed perspective in order to help couples work toward a more healthy, resilient relationship.

Our therapists use Gottman Method couples therapy in their work. Built on decades of research, we have found the tools and resources that Doctors Julie and John Gottman have developed to be accessible, practical, and effective in addressing the issues that couples face. Read more about Gottman Method here.

Early Childhood Therapy

When working with very young children (under age 5), we typically work with a family therapy model as we believe that it is the caregiver's rightful role to help their child through the difficulties they face. Specific family interventions we use in early childhood are Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-up (ABC), and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Read more about ABC here. Read more about CPP here.

Families are complex systems that have an immense impact on who we are individually. No two families are the same, and they all come with their own culture, rules, expectations, and history. Our therapists can help strengthen, repair, and heal parent-child and other family relationships.
